Interesting way to put it- and partially right. The better comparison is not winamp vs live, but rather do you want a bunch of dedicated tools, or a swiss army knife. There are a number of fine synths that compared to Reaktor, sound better, are easier to create patches, use less cpu, better performance characteristics, and are just allround more refined and developed.
